God Works All Things For Good For Those Who Love Him

And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Most Christians know this verse well (even if they can't remember the reference. Thanks BibleGateway!) It is often used in situations of sadness; when some tragedy happens and we want answers. Sometimes, we don't ever see the good of the bad, but sometimes we do. Today was one of those times. 

There was a lady at our church who was sick for a very long time. I don't ever remember her being well. Less than a year ago, she died. 

Today, we welcomed new members into our church and two of those becoming new members were baptized; one of them was this lady's husband. He was not a believer before and today he was baptized and became a member of his wife's church. How cool! 

Now I don't know if he would maybe have become a believer if his wife hadn't died. Maybe he would have. But I do know that his coming to faith is a good God worked out of the sadness of his wife's death.
