Summit Baseball Season

The Summit season has FINALLY started. 

Varsity had a tournament in Kentucky last Friday-Saturday. We did well, going 2-2 in our four games. The complex was really nice and the teams were all (with one exception) really great. Considering it was the first time our guys had seen game action this year, we did really well.

Then on Monday, we played our fifth game vs. Franklin Road Christian School. We absolutely creamed them, but our good friend Nick plays there, so it was cool to see him. When their team was changing pitchers, our boys were chanting, "Put in Nick! Put in Nick!". They wanted to face their old teammate so bad and they did eventually get to bat against him.

 JV had their first game yesterday, and it didn't go as well. We lost, but again, for the first game of the season, they didn't do too badly. Plus, lots of the guys have never played together before. We're just used to beating this particular team ;)
