He's BACK!!!!!
The Tigers third baseman, Nick Castellanos, has been on the disabled list since August 6th. It was looking like we wouldn't get him back at all this year. He has been sorely missed.
Last night, he was activated from the DL and flew in from Florida. In the 8th inning, he came in to pinch hit and the crowd gave him a standing ovation. It was awesome. Then, facing Major League pitching for the first time since Aug. 6, he double and scored on a triple by the next batter.
Welcome back, Nick Castellanos! Every Detroit Tiger fan is glad he is back. Just having our lineup whole makes things look a whole lot better. Five games left and anything can happen!
(A fun note from the game: Already up 9-0 in the 8th, Castellanos hit the pinch hit double, Tyler Collins hit a pinch hit triple, and Andrew Romine hit a pinch hit 2-run home run! Then Steven Moya singled and for the second time in four days, a team hit for the cycle in the space of four batters!)
