All - Star Voting
It's ridiculously early to begin the All - Star Voting. Come on, we haven't even finished the first month of the baseball season yet! People who are hot now will not be at the All - Star Break and vice versa. But the voting has begun anyway.
If you are not quite sure who to vote for, I have some suggestions. These are players who are consistently good at their position and with their bat. They might be cool right now, but their record speaks for itself.
First Base: Miguel Cabrera - nothing more needs said.
Second Base: Ian Kinsler - he's so consistent and rock solid at second, it's almost weird.
Shortstop: Jose Iglesias - yeah he's young, but he is one of the best shortstops in the game and, even though you didn't think it possible, he has improved in all areas this year.
Third Base: Todd Frazier - this guy is a pain if you're playing against him, but you want him on your All - Star Team.
Catcher: James McCann - whether or not it is this year, he will be an All - Star. He has incredible defensive skills and his bat isn't bad either.
Outfield: Kevin Pillar, J.D. Martinez, and Austin Jackson - you might question Jackson, but he is underrated for his defense. Even if his bat isn't quite as good as other centerfielders, he more than makes up for it with his defensive play.
Designated Hitter: Edwin Encarnacion - this guy is a consistent power hitter who can drive the ball. That's what you want from your DH.
