Don't Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard // Revell Reads Review

Justice comes easy for these two. But forgiveness? That's another matter altogether.

Investigative reporter Rae Burke will do anything to find her missing sister-in-law, even if it means facing Liam McKade, a man who almost lost his life saving hers. A former DEA agent, Liam thought he could find peace at his Wyoming ranch, but he doesn't feel at home anywhere anymore. When the reporter who blew his cover on an important investigation inserts herself back into his life, he's less than thrilled. But Rae's keen investigative skills have led her down the right path--and directly into the dragon's mouth--leaving Liam no choice but to protect her.

As the danger increases, the past they both tried to flee catches up to them, along with the feelings they once had for each other.

MY REVIEW

The prologue had me guessing the WHOLE TIME!!!! I wasn't sure who it was about or where it would become relevant again. Same thing with Liam and Rae's history. I wanted to know more details about just what had happened.

This is a really interesting story because all that happens deals with the past. That might not sound unique but it wasn't like there was a current crime to be solved. History was more important than the present and the present could not be understood without the past.

I was a little bummed that Heath, Austin, Harper, and Willow weren't involved more. I like it when the later books keep the previous characters around. I think it makes the story more full. BUT, Rae and Liam were great characters and I enjoyed reading about them.

This is my favorite cover so far and I really can't say much more about the story without spoiling things, minor though they might be.

Many thanks to Revell for a copy of the book. All opinions are my own and a favorable review was not required.
